Location: Bromyard

Contract: Full Time Contract 37 hour contract on a 3 week rolling rota

Rota Pattern: mixture of earlies and lates 07:30-14:30-14:00-21:30

Salary: £17,628- £19,558 (range dependent on experience, salary will increase on a salary scale once employed)

Overview Adults Residential Support Worker

Support Worker: Adult Residential *PERMANENT CONTRACT*

This is a full time, permanent vacancy, whereby if you are successful you will be employed directly by the business.

I am recruiting for one of Safehands Recruitments prestigious clients based in the Herefordshire area. You will be working as part of a large community of specialised workers to support adults with a range of learning difficulties, autism, communication difficulties, challenging behaviours and other complex needs within a spacious residential site. The site consists of a number of self contained bungalows where you will be supporting the client to gain independence and personal skills.

This full time permanent vacancy as a Adults Residential Support worker offers a fantastic salary of up to £19,700 with an extensive training package and internal progression. Candidates with no experience looking to pursue a new career within health and social care will be considered.

Excellent opportunities and bonuses are offered to workers such as NVQs, 2 week induction programme and 30 days annual leave per year. Working hours include earlies and lates, on a rota basis including weekdays and weekends. Full driving licence is essential

Responsibilities- Adults Residential Support Worker

·        Assisting clients with all aspects of personal care, promoting self-help and independence in-line with care plans and supporting with moving and handling techniques

·        Assisting the administration of medication

·        Assisting with domestic duties

·        Supporting clients to access the community

·        Participate in regular review meetings and risk assessments

·        Attend and contribute to team meetings

·        Managing challenging behaviour in a safe and effective manner

·        To maintain knowledge and operate within current legislation and company polices and procedures

·        Promote in dependence and develop a trusting relationship with the clients

·        Maintain confidentiality at all times

·        Report any concerns that may indicate safety and well being is being compromised

·        To undertake all mandatory training inline with company policies and procedure

 

Person Specification -Adults Residential Support Worker

·        Staff must be flexible with shift patterns

·        Willingness to train to NVQ standard

·        Good values and aspiration to want to work in the Health and Social Care sector

·        Experience within a Health and Social Care would be advantageous but not essential

·        All applicants will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and 5 years referencing

MUST HOLD A FULL DRIVING LICENCE DUE TO RURAL LOCATION OF THE RESIDENTIAL HOME
