Title: Deputy Manager/Registered Nurse (Dual Role) Salary
range: £50000 to £55000
Location:
Stourbridge, Rugby, Kenilworth Contract

My client is an independent company providing
luxury care homes, maintaining the highest standards of residential elderly care.
They are situated in superb surroundings with panoramic views and modern facilities.
Main function of the job:
This role is a dual role where you will
be combining a Deputy Manager along with a Registered Nurse – various management/administration
duties required and supervising the care and nursing functions within the care
homes
To positively support the Registered
Manager in providing leadership to the administration, care, catering,
housekeeping, laundry and maintenance functions of the Home.
To deputise for the function of the
Registered Manager during their absence, while at all times supporting the
decisions made by the Registered Manager
To maintain care and management skills
at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from
time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice
To manage the services within the Home in accordance
with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider,
legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best
practice, and within the financial plans agreed from tine-to-time with the
Registered Provider.
To positively support the Registered
Manager and Deputy Manager in providing leadership to the care and nursing
functions within the Care Home.
To maintain a
current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery (NMC)
To maintain
nursing skills at a current level and undertake such training and development
as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice.
To comply with
NMC requirements for revalidation every three years: this will require (among
other measures), obtaining practice-based feedback, reflective discussions,
written self-reflections on practice, and obtaining confirming evidence of
continued adherence to the NMC codes of practice from a health care
professional, normally the line manager.
While
responsibility for revalidation rests with the individual practitioner, the
service will support him/her to achieve this as far as possible
To provide
nursing care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and
procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations
under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from
time-to-time.
To supervise the
services within the Home in accordance with agreed standards.
Hours of Work:
Nominally 40 hours per week, subject to
achievement of goals and objectives and the covering of vacant shifts. The
Deputy Manager will be expected to maintain an on-call facility, and in the
case of holiday or sickness, to arrange for the facility to be maintained
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with current unencumbered registration
with NMC and at least two years’ experience as a Senior Carer or above level in
an appropriate care service.
Must be able to drive due to locations of these homes.
