Safehands have been successfully working as a team since 2012. We offer a high level of support to a range of different institutes in different areas of care.

We are currently looking for a highly empathetic and enthusiastic support worker to offer their services to one of our clients in Cardiff on a temporarily basis with guaranteed hours available. The support worker will be required to assist the rehabilitation of children aged 8 to 16 who have either experienced an upsetting upbringing or have physical disabilities which affect their day to day life.

The support worker will undergo activities with the children whether it is inside the day center or out in the public around the Cardiff area. These activities could include: swimming, visiting the park, going on walks etc.

Requirements

Full clean driving license (no vehicle needed).

6 months experience within a healthcare sector.

The candidate will be expected to support the patient’s complex needs by providing extensive therapeutic and education programmers.

The candidate will be required to undertake free training and activities that help progress the individual’s development, certifying their success as a care assistant.
